Dustin Johnson: 'Girlfriends are not a distraction for golfers'

American golfer Dustin Johnson has insisted that he does not get distracted by his girlfriend Paulina Gretzky.

It has been suggested that former world number one Rory McIlroy has slumped this season due to his relationship with tennis pro Caroline Wozniacki.

"It doesn't change anything," the Daily Mail quotes Johnson as saying. "I'm playing okay. I've just not been consistent but that's nothing to do with anything else."

Johnson's girlfriend is the daughter of ice hockey legend Wayne Gretzky.
