Japanese rider Yoshinari Matsushita killed during qualifier

Japanese rider Yoshinari Matsushita has died during a qualifying session for the Isle of Man TT.

The 43-year-old was killed during the Ballacrye event, which was red-flagged following the incident, according to ACU Events.

A statement from the organisers said: "The ACU wishes to pass on their deepest sympathy to Yoshinari's family and friends."

Matsushita began competing at the TT in 2009.
