David James praises BT Sport's approach

Former England goalkeeper David James believes that BT Sport's approach to football coverage is of greater benefit to viewers compared to other shows.

Former England goalkeeper David James has given credit to BT Sport's different methods in broadcasting football matches.

The 43-year-old, who is currently studying for his coaching badges, is part of the punditry team at BT Sport, who have installed an LED interactive pitch to physically show the key moments of a game.

"There are other shows which have all the gadgetry and I think it's not real," James told FootballFanCast. "We can actually get in there; we can talk and physically show people. You can actually do the movements, move people and go through those processes."

BT Sport will show their first Premier League fixture when Liverpool take on Stoke City at Anfield in the lunchtime kickoff on Saturday.
