David James auctions off signed memorabilia after declaring bankruptcy

James auctions off 150 items

Former Premier League goalkeeper David James has put around 150 items up for auction, six months after he was declared bankrupt.

The ex-England international's debt is believed to have accumulated over the years following his marriage split in 2005.

The 44-year-old has put signed league shirts and World Cup shirts up for sale through auctioneer Hilco, as well as DJ equipment and a customised Vauxhall Astra van.

James recently came out of retirement to join Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters FC as a player-manager.

The items will be available to bid on from November 6 to November 18.
