Evander Holyfield's son Ewin defends father over anti-gay remarks

Holyfield's son defends anti-gay remarks

The son of Evander Holyfield has jumped to his father's defence following the former heavyweight boxer's anti-gay remarks in the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house.

The 51-year-old sparked controversy when he said during a conversation with his fellow housemate Luisa Zissman that being gay "ain't normal".

The 23-year-old Ewin told TMZ: "My dad is the most loving and caring person you will ever meet. He treats everyone like a human being, even if they are homosexual.

"My dad feels that being gay is a choice and naturally that's how things work. You cannot procreate and make a baby with two women or two men. But at the same time, my dad is not going to judge someone for their sexual orientation."

Channel 5 bosses warned Holyfield about his remarks during the show.
