Greg Rutherford joins 'Strictly Come Dancing'

Team GB Olympic long jumper Greg Rutherford has joined the lineup of BBC dance show Strictly Come Dancing.

The 29-year-old, who earned a bronze medal last week in Rio de Janeiro, will compete with the likes of Louise Redknapp, Judge Rinder and Birds of a Feather actress Lesley Joseph when the popular series returns next month.

Norwich City chairman and former shadow-chancellor Ed Balls, as well as Team GB gymnast Claudia Fragapane, are also in the lineup.

"I love being challenged and taking to the Strictly ballroom is like nothing I have ever done before," said Rutherford. "Doing this is definitely a long jump from my day job for sure."

Other contestants in the lineup include Will Young, Daisy Lowe and Anastacia.
