Gary Speed's widow sells family home

Gary Speed's widow sells family home

The widow of Gary Speed has sold the family home in which he died in order to "move on" more than four years after his death.

Louis Speed recently accepted an offer of £1.3m for the five-bedroom mansion in Chester where she discovered the body of the former Wales manager in November 2011.

The decision to sell was backed by Speed's father Roger, who told The Sun: "Louise has a new boyfriend. I haven't met him yet but I want her to be happy. I'm sure Gary would too."

An inquest into Speed's death in 2012 found that he had died by self-strangulation but could not determine whether it was intentional.
