Carl Froch's fiancee "finally" gets ring nearly 10 months after proposal

Froch's fiancee "finally" gets her ring

Carl Froch's fiancee Rachael Cordingley has "finally" been given an engagement ring, nearly 10 months after the super-middleweight boxer proposed.

The Nottingham-born fighter got down on one knee in the ring following his eighth-round stoppage victory over George Groves back in May last year.

However, at the time, Froch, who recently vacated his IBF title, did not have a ring and waited until Valentine's Day to give his other half the long-awaited piece of jewellery.

Cordingley posted a photo of her engagement ring on Twitter, with the message: "Proposed to at Wembley on 31/5/14 & I've now finally got my ring! Thank u 4 an amazing Valentine's Day @Carl_Froch."

The couple are parents to son Rocco and daughter Natalia.
