IBF super-middleweight champion Carl Froch has revealed that he gets his "fighting spirit" from his mother.
The 35-year-old has claimed that his mother, who attends all of Froch's bouts, gets her feisty energy from her Geordie background.
"My three aunties are very tall," Froch said on The Jonathan Ross Show. "I think I get my strength and fighting spirit from my mum's side.
"She was born in Newcastle so I don't want to generalise but she can have a go. She's my biggest fan, she travels all over the world. I wouldn't have it any other way."
Froch is due to go up against Dane Mikkel Kessler for a rematch in London on May 25.
