Four people arrested after jockey Aidan Coleman allegedly punched

Four arrested over jockey altercation

Nottinghamshire Police have confirmed that four people have been arrested in connection to an incident that left jockey Aidan Coleman with minor injuries.

The 27-year-old is alleged to have been punched at Southwell racecourse after members of the public broke into the changing room.

Two men and one woman were taken in by the authorities on suspicion of assault and damage, while another woman was arrested for obstructing police, according to BBC Sport.

Coleman told the Racing Post: "Two of them burst into the changing room and when they were asked to leave it all kicked off. I think they had drunk that much they didn't know what they were doing."

A Southwell stewards' report confirmed that Coleman, jockeys Adam Pogson and Tom Scudamore, as well as officials, were interviewed following the incident.
