Football fan Gordon Hill reaches number five in UK singles chart

Football supporter Gordon Hill, who found fame earlier this year due to his antics at a semi-professional football game, reaches number five in the UK singles chart.

A football supporter who found fame on various social media platforms earlier this year following his antics at a semi-professional football match has seen his debut single enter the top five of the UK singles chart.

Gordon Hill, who is more commonly referred to as the Wealdstone Raider, capitalised on his moment in the spotlight by releasing a track titled 'Got No Fans'.

Despite receiving backing from numerous high-profile stars, including Queens Park Rangers defender Rio Ferdinand, the song fell just short of outselling Christmas number one Something I Need.

Hill took to Twitter to thank those who had already bought the single, adding: "I feel as though I let everyone down not getting number 1. Let's do it this week!"
