Flintoff to join Australia's 'I'm A Celeb'

English cricketer Andrew Flintoff has announced that he will join the lineup of the Australian version of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here.

The 37-year-old, who came out of retirement in May 2014, was linked to last year's ITV series, but has opted to join the reality show Down Under.

The announcement comes after Flintoff spent months in Australia playing for Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League and also commentated for Network Ten.

"Me as a cricketer and the type of person I am are different, and at home they've seen that with the different careers I've had over the past five years," News.com.au as saying.

"I think Australians recently have seen a bit of what I'm like as a person - I guess that'll happen even more now."

Flintoff will have to face a number of tough challenges during his time in the jungle.
