Flintoff edges closer to Sky role?

Former England cricketer Andrew Flintoff is reportedly close to being added to the Sky Sports cricket punditry team.

The 35-year-old, who recently embarked on a brief boxing career, was tipped in August to join the broadcasters, and it appears that a deal could be edging closer.

It is understood that Sky chose Flintoff to front a flagship documentary about saving the rainforest by sending him out to the Brazilian jungle for a month, which suggests that a long-term relationship with Sky is on the cards, according to the Daily Mail.

Flintoff is expected to be a pundit for Sky's Twenty20 coverage next season.
