Roger Federer named as Moet & Chandon ambassador

Wimbledon champion Roger Federer agrees to front famous champagne producers Moet & Chandon.

Champagne producer Moet & Chandon have announced that 17-time Grand Slam winner Roger Federer has become the company's new ambassador.

The Swiss pro has agreed to front the world-famous brand through an advertising campaign, which will be launched in March of next year.

"It's more than just an honour to be Moet & Chandon's brand ambassador, it's an invitation to be part of a very glamorous tradition," said Federer.

"Moet & Chandon has always been the champagne of international trendsetters and I'm proud to be part of a brand that is as dedicated to the pursuit of excellence as I have been throughout my career."

The 31-year-old finished the season with the Wimbledon title, which was his only Grand Slam win of the campaign.
