Fans raise money for keeper's dental bill

Supporters have rallied together to raise money to help Halesowen Town goalkeeper Daniel Platt pay for his dental bill after his three front teeth were knocked out during a pre-season friendly.

The shot-stopper fractured his jaw after colliding with Tividale striker Joel Ayetti during a match last month.

According to the Birmingham Mail, Platt was handed a £6,500 bill to get his teeth repaired, and as his Evo-Stik League Northern Premier Division club do not cover dental work, fans have set up a fundraiser and online Just Giving page.

So far, supporters have raised around £700, while the Professional Footballers Association have donated £3,000.
