Ex-Premier League player Delroy Facey pleads not guilty to match-fixing

Former Premier League footballer Delroy Facey denies charge of conspiracy to commit bribery amid a match-fixing probe.

Former Premier League footballer Delroy Facey has pleaded not guilty to being involved in a match-fixing scandal.

The 34-year-old, who played for Bolton Wanderers and West Bromwich Albion during his career, denied a charge of conspiracy to commit bribery after he was alleged to have offered financial advantage to people, including footballers.

Facey, who is accused of committing the offence in November 2013, delivered his non-guilty plea at Birmingham Crown Court on Monday, according to The Independent.

Facey was granted bail and will return to court on April 13 next year.
