Football Association deny selling Wembley naming rights

FA deny Wembley name change

The Football Association have quashed reports claiming that they have agreed a deal to change the name of Wembley.

The English governing body were believed to have struck a deal with 4G mobile provider EE to become the ground's new sponsor, which would lead to the rebranding of the stadium.

Despite these reports, an FA spokesman has told Sky Sports News: "There are no naming rights available at Wembley stadium and there is nothing to report about any rights deals being signed with any company at present."

It had been suggested that the ground would be named either Wembley stadium 'supported by EE' or Wembley stadium 'in association with EE'.
