Sven-Goran Eriksson's ex Nancy Dell'Olio wants football commentator job

The ex-girlfriend of former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has revealed that she has ambitions of being a football commentator.

Nancy Dell'Olio believes that she could add some humour to commentary at this summer's World Cup in Brazil.

"I want to be a commentator, but of course not just about technique, other things too," the Daily Star quotes Dell'Olio as saying. "I do know football probably more than average but I would do it from a different point of view.

"I would like to do something funny. There's much more to say than just the football itself.

"The match is one thing but there's so much to talk about at a World Cup event. In Italy there are many more women [pundits] and it's more fun."

The 52-year-old had a nine-year relationship with Eriksson.
