Elton John plays Navratilova in charity match

Elton John showed off his tennis skills on Monday when he took on 18-time Grand Slam champion Martina Navratilova in an annual charity match in Las Vegas.

The 68-year-old singer hosts the Mylan World Team Tennis Smash Hits contests every year with Billie Jean King at Caesars Palace.

Navratilova, who was ranked world number one in the 1980s, went head to head with John, but it was a light-hearted affair as the two teamed up later on in a doubles match.

Steffi Graf and husband Andre Agassi were among the former tennis stars who took part, along with Tracy Austin, Lindsay Davenport, James Blake, Andy Roddick and Mardy Fish.
