Els 'raises £10m for autism treatment'

Open champion Ernie Els has reportedly raised £10m for an autism charity following his victory last year.

The South African, who will try to defend the Claret Jug at Muirfield this week, is believed to have helped raise the money with his wife Liezl.

The funds are going towards plans to build a specialist centre in Els's hometown of Jupiter, Florida, according to the Daily Mail.

The couple's 10-year-old son Ben suffers from autism.
