Depp wants to film Doohan documentary

Hollywood actor Johnny Depp has revealed that he wants to film a documentary about MotoGP legend Mick Doohan.

The Australian sportsman, who is now retired, dominated the sport in the 1990s by winning five 500 cc World Championships.

Doohan has formed a friendship with Depp over the years after the 51-year-old actor stayed in the Aussie's Coomera waterfront mansion while filming Pirates of the Caribbean.

Now, Depp, who married 29-year-old actress Amber Heard earlier this year, wants to put Doohan on screen.

The American told news.com.au: "I want to do a documentary about him, he's a wonderful man."

Depp and his other half are said to have lived in Doohan's mansion for five months.
