Cyclist Mark Cavendish slams into car during training

Cavendish involved in collision

British cyclist Mark Cavendish has been involved in a collision with a car but has managed to avoid any serious injuries.

The 27-year-old revealed on Twitter that he slammed into the vehicle during a training session, which was believed to be taking place near his home in Quarrata, Tuscany.

Cavendish tweeted: "Went & hit the back of a car that slammed on today in training. Wasn't ideal. Apart from a bruised arm, I'm relatively ok. If anyone cares."

The accident occurred in the same month that Cavendish's former Team Sky teammate Bradley Wiggins was involved in a collision.
