Channel 4 bosses reportedly decide to remove booze from Alan Carr: Chatty Man when Paul Gascoigne is interviewed by the comedian.

Channel 4 bosses have reportedly decided to remove alcohol from the set of Alan Carr: Chatty Man for the visit of England legend Paul Gascoigne.

The 45-year-old is due to be interviewed by comedian Carr on his show following Gascoigne's recent five-week stint in a US rehab facility for alcohol addiction.

A prominent aspect of Carr's show is the globe of booze, which contains a variety of drinks for the guests to choose from.

On this occasion, TV executives think that it would be "highly inappropriate" to have alcohol on display with Gascoigne present, according to the Daily Star.

The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder recently claimed that he was close to death during his time in Phoenix, Arizona.
