David Beckham's son Brooklyn joins Twitter, gets 51,900 followers

The sixteen-year-old son of former England football star David Beckham has gained 51,900 followers just 18 hours after joining Twitter.

The teenager has already become a popular figure on Instagram, but now he has extended his social media presence to Twitter.

Brooklyn, who is the eldest of four siblings, is currently following just seven fellow users, including his mother Victoria Beckham, film star Reese Witherspoon and actress Chloe Moretz, to whom the teen was previously romantically linked.

The youngster's decision to join Twitter comes after his father signed up for an Instagram account on his 40th birthday.
