David Beckham turns on Christmas lights at Singapore shopping centre

Retired footballer David Beckham took part in a festive event in Singapore by turning on the Christmas lights at a local shopping centre.

The 39-year-old has made numerous public visits during his trip to South-East Asia, one of which was helping a young girl turn on the Christmas decorations at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star joined the child in winding the handle on a jack-in-the-box at the Festive Light Up event.

Beckham also recently debuted new tattoo '723', which represents the shirt numbers that he wore throughout his football career.
