David Beckham convinced by Gordon Ramsay to take on triathlon?

Retired footballer David Beckham has reportedly been persuaded into doing a triathlon next year with celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.

The 38-year-old is said to have agreed to tackle the Ironman event with Ramsay, who sought advice from Beckham while preparing for the Hawaii triathlon earlier this month.

The pair have been meeting up at 4am most mornings to train on the beach ahead of next year's challenge, according to the Daily Star.

Beckham called time on his playing career at the end of last season.
