David Beckham will star in an advert to promote Sky Sports' coverage of the new Premier League season.

Sky Sports have filmed an advert starring David Beckham to promote their Premier League coverage.

The promo will show the recently-retired former England captain, who earns £20m as an ambassador for the broadcaster, using the various Sky platforms to keep up with action from the English top flight.

Sky announced yesterday that it would be showing Liverpool's home match against Stoke City and manager David Moyes' first league game as Manchester United manager on the opening day of the season.

Beckham has previously featured in advertising campaigns for Motorola, H&M and Adidas.
