David Beckham offered to try out as a kicker for NFL?

Retired footballer David Beckham was reportedly contacted by an NFL scout to try out as a kicker.

The 38-year-old has been looking at ventures away from football following his decision to retire from the game following a five-month stint at Paris Saint-Germain.

The former England captain was offered the chance to prove his ability, with the opportunity of becoming part of American football, but Beckham declined, according to The Mirror.

Beckham experienced stints at Manchester United, Real Madrid, Los Angeles Galaxy, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain during his career.
