Beckham 'makes £1m on Madrid mansion'

Former England football captain David Beckham has reportedly pocketed around £1m profit from the sale of his mansion in Madrid.

The 40-year-old and his wife Victoria initially put the property on the market almost eight years ago following Beckham's move to Los Angeles Galaxy from Real Madrid.

As a result of the recession, Beckham failed to find a buyer, but now, according to the Daily Mail, the retired footballer has sold to a Spanish entrepreneur for £4.2m, which is £1.2m more than it was originally purchased for.

Beckham, his wife and their four children currently reside in London.
