Beckham 'buys £40m London mansion'

Retired footballer David Beckham is reportedly preparing to move into a new £40m mansion in London with his wife Victoria and their four children.

The couple are said to have been looking for a new house for some time after reportedly selling their Hertfordshire mansion dubbed 'Beckingham Palace'.

Beckham will pay an extra £5m to renovate the inner-city mansion, which is said to include a tunnel to a second property for staff and security, according to the Daily Mail.

The four-storey building in West London will reportedly contain separate rooms for Victoria's shoe collection.
