Wimbledon legend Boris Becker has revealed that his ex-wife Barbara Feltus hit him "like mad" during a meeting between the pair in a bid to save their marriage.
The 45-year-old, who has two sons with his former spouse, has detailed the breakdown of his marriage in a new autobiography Life Is Not A Game, which is being serialised in German newspaper Bild.
Becker, who married Barbara in 1993, explains that the couple met in a last-ditch attempt to solve their marriage, but it quickly turned into a heated exchange.
"We were both getting louder and more aggressive," said Becker. "She had hired the best lawyers of the city and the prosecution was already prepared. 'What it's about here', I wanted to know. 'Our marriage or money'?
"It stands in my memory that Barbara was completely beside herself! She shouted at me, suddenly jumped up and began to hit me like mad."
Becker had a fling in 1999 with Russian emigre Anna Ermakova in the toilet of London restaurant Nobu, which led to the birth of his daughter Anna.
