BBC to screen 'The Muslim Premier League' show

Later this month the BBC will show a programme that highlights the influx of Muslim footballers in the Premier League.

Twenty years ago there were no Muslims playing in England's top flight, but at this moment in time there are almost 40.

The show, which has been made to mark the start of Ramadan, will feature the likes of Demba Ba and Abou Diaby, while Arsene Wenger, Sam Allardyce and journalist Henry Winter will explain how clubs have adapted to accommodate a diversity of faiths.

The programme will be aired on Sunday, July 7 at 12.20pm.
