British heptathlete Karla Drew has scooped £50,000 after placing a £5 bet on a 10-match football accumulator.
The young athlete, who studies at Sheffield Hallam University, wrote on Twitter that eight of her predictions during international friendlies were correct, but she was waiting on two matches.
Drew needed Uruguay to win and Panama to draw, and that's exactly how it transpired as Panama and Canada finished goalless and Uruguay came from behind to beat Chile 2-1.
Drew, who is a Liverpool fan, is yet to tweet her reaction to grabbing the winnings.
Sooo.. I could wake up £50,000 richer tomorrow. Uruguay win & Panama draw. Won't be sleeping. @FootyAccums pic.twitter.com/bJ9CyIUNQK
