Lance Armstrong spotted on holiday in Hawaii

Disgraced American cyclist Lance Armstrong has escaped to Hawaii following the revelations surrounding his doping past.

The 41-year-old was accused of running "the most sophisticated, professionalised and successful doping programme the sport has ever seen" and was later stripped of his record seven Tour de France titles.

The US cyclist, who has since distanced himself from his cancer charity Livestrong, was seen canoeing with friends in the Pacific waters.

Armstrong was also given a lifetime ban from professional cycling.
