Rebecca Adlington marries fellow swimmer Harry Needs in Staffordshire

Retired Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington married her long-term partner Harry Needs in Staffordshire at the weekend.

The 25-year-old, who ended her professional career with two gold and two bronze Olympic medals, made her romance with the 22-year-old fellow swimmer official at The Ashes, near Leek.

Adlington, who was a contestant on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here last year, told Hello! magazine: "The ceremony was so personal, which was exactly what we wanted.

"I love the fact Harry was in bits before I even reached him. I was a bit nervous in the car on the way here with my dad, but as soon as I walked in, my nerves melted and I relaxed."

The couple wrote their own vows for the ceremony.
