Actor Ferrell plays for 10 baseball teams

American actor Will Ferrell has raised money for cancer survivors by playing for 10 Major League Baseball teams in one day.

The Anchorman star took part in five Arizona spring training games, which began with the Oakland Athletics and ended with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Ferrell, who wore number 19 for every game, told MLB Radio: "I think it's pretty much the feeling out here that I'm going to land with one of these clubs.

"These teams need a clubhouse presence and my presence is a flabby 47-year-old guy that doesn't know how to play, but I have life experience and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done."

The actor, who played in each position during his task, is hoping to raise money for Cancer for College and Stand Up to Cancer by auctioning off memorabilia from the day.
