David Beckham watches Manchester United's defeat to Chelsea from Blues owner Roman Abramovich's VIP box.

Retired footballer David Beckham was spotted watching his former club Manchester United succumb to defeat at the hands of Chelsea at Stamford Bridge yesterday.

The 38-year-old, who spent 10 years at Old Trafford, turned up at the West London base with his 14-year-old son Brooklyn to watch United lose 3-1.

Instead of watching from the stalls, photographs published by the Daily Mail show Beckham and his son sitting in Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich's VIP box.

The Russian businessman was also in attendance for the match.
