David Silva receives signed boxing gloves from Manchester City fan Ricky Hatton

Manchester City playmaker David Silva has revealed that he recently received a gift from supporter and retired boxer Ricky Hatton.

The former WBA, IBF and IBO champion is a lifelong City supporter and decided to treat one of their stars with a plaque, which included a pair of signed boxing gloves.

Silva tweeted a picture of himself holding up the items, alongside the message: "What a present I received today from the legend @HitmanHatton .Thanks amigo!"

In the Premier League, City are currently seven points adrift of leaders Chelsea.
