Daft Punk join Lotus F1 team

The Lotus Renault Formula 1 team enlisted the help of dance music duo Daft Punk ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday.

The pair, wearing their trademark helmets, spent the day with drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean following the release of their new album Random Access Memories, which stormed to the top of the UK album chart.

Despite receiving the support of the twosome, Raikkonen could only finish in 10th place following the race, while Grosjean retired in the 65th lap.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur boss Andre Villas-Boas and Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew joined a hoard of celebrities to watch the race.
