British Olympians to appear on 'Strictly Come Dancing'?

British Olympians Victoria Pendleton and Sir Steve Redgrave are rumoured to be possible contestants for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.

Swimmer Rebecca Adlington and gymnast Beth Tweddle are amongst a number of athletes who have expressed an interest in appearing on the show.

"The idea of being very glamorous, it definitely appeals to me," the Daily Mail quotes Pendleton as saying.

"After wearing Lycra suits and tracksuits for so long and not a lot of makeup I think, yeah, that would be good fun."

Roger Black, Colin Jackson and Matt Dawson are some of the stars from the sporting world who have taken part on the BBC programme.
