David Beckham could become an ambassador for an Olympic bid once more, this time for his adopted home, Los Angeles.
Beckham was part of the successful London bid team and it now appears that he has been offered a similar role with the LA effort.
"David has helped to boost the popularity of soccer here since joining LA Galaxy and he is known by sports fans all over the world," A United States Olympic source told the Daily Record.
"In London, he was always positive. That experience is vital. His James Bond-style cameo went down well on both sides of the Atlantic.
"He could make the difference between winning and losing the bid for 2024."
Beckham played 115 times for England during his international career.
