A fresh inquest into the 1989 Hillsborough disaster, which claimed the lives of 96 Liverpool fans will go ahead in "early 2014".
Lord Justice Goldring claimed in a pre-inquest hearing in London today that the procedure will not be put back by the outcomes of two separate investigations into the tragedy.
The original accidental death verdicts were quashed in December last year following revelations from the Hillsborough Independent Panel, who discovered that over 100 statements were altered by police in a bid to deflect blame onto the supporters.
Ninety-six people passed away as a result of a crush in the Leppings Lane end in the ground during an FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest.
