Anti-Raheem Sterling graffiti sprayed outside Anfield following star's exit

Anti-Sterling graffiti sprayed outside Anfield

Some Liverpool fans have expressed their anger at Raheem Sterling's decision to leave the club for Manchester City through graffiti that has appeared outside Anfield.

The 20-year-old signed for the former Premier League champions on Tuesday for a £49m fee.

With reports claiming that the England international will be earning upwards of £180,000 a week at City, it appears that some believe the starlet left Merseyside for financial reasons as '£££ STERLING' was spray-painted on a telephone exchange box.

Sterling's imagery on billboards at Anfield remains in place, but is expected to be removed in due course.
