Josh Hodgson admits "stupidity" led to broken door

England hooker Josh Hodgson says that "stupidity" led to him smashing a door at a party during the Four Nations tour.

Josh Hodgson has admitted that "stupidity" led to him breaking a door at a party while on tour with the England rugby league team in New Zealand.

A clip of the hooker smashing a door was posted on YouTube following England's exit from the Four Nations at the weekend.

He told the Daily Star: "It was stupidity on my part to go ahead and do something like that. The people who owned the place were saying the door was getting replaced so to just go ahead and do it.

"There were obviously people filming and cheering me on but I still shouldn't have done it. If someone tells you to jump off a bridge you don't do it. I'll cop what punishment I get, move on and learn from it."

England have confirmed that they are investigating the incident.
