Belgium cancel training after Brussels attacks

The Belgian national team cancel Tuesday's scheduled training session out of respect for the victims of the Brussels attacks.

Belgium have cancelled their training session scheduled for today out of respect for the victims of the Brussels attacks.

Brussels Airport was hit by a double blast this morning while another explosion has been reported by local media at a Metro station in the city. Thirteen people are reported to have died, with many more injured.

A tweet from the Belgian team's official account read: "#tousensemble, our thoughts are with the victims. Football is not important today. Training cancelled."

The Red Devils' friendly at home to Portugal at the King Baudouin Stadium a week today is now in doubt after the suspected terrorist bomb attacks in the nation's capital.

Several of the country's star players, including Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen and Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, have written messages of support on Twitter.
