Jack Wilshere: 'I got Cesc Fabregas to nab Lionel Messi's shirt'

Wilshere nabbed Messi's shirt

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has revealed that he owns a Barcelona shirt worn by Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi.

The England international managed to nab the famous shirt following the Gunners' 4-3 aggregate defeat to Barca in the Champions League back in 2011 courtesy of former Arsenal teammate Cesc Fabregas.

"I asked Xavi for his but he had the hump a bit," Wilshere told Match of the Day magazine. "So he just threw me his shirt and strolled off. I asked Cesc Fabregas to get me Messi's because they're good friends, and he did."

Meanwhile, Wilshere is preparing to go up against Liverpool with his teammates at the Emirates tomorrow.
