Madi Robinson becomes first two-time winner of Australia's Liz Ellis Diamond

Madi Robinson is named as Australia's best netball player for the second time following a successful year.

Melbourne Vixens netball star Madi Robinson has become the first two-time winner of Australia's Liz Ellis Diamond award.

The 26-year-old, who won the trans-Tasman title with the Vixens this year, scooped the gong at an awards ceremony at Parliament House in Canberra on Saturday evening.

Robinson's successful year also included a Commonwealth Games gold medal in Glasgow, as well as Constellation Cup victory with the Australian Diamonds.

Robinson, who was named Australia's best netball player in 2012, was one of two players to compete in all 13 Diamonds matches this year.
