England's Serena Guthrie "proud" despite losing Test series to Australia

England's Serena Guthrie says that she's "proud" of the team, despite losing both Tests against Australia Down Under.

England netball player Serena Guthrie has expressed her pride in the players following their two-match Test series defeat to Australia.

England were only narrowly beaten by the Aussies at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in the summer, but suffered a 55-37 loss in the first Test and a 54-47 defeat in Canberra last week.

"We're just happy to get out here post Commonwealth Games to see where we're at ahead of the World Cup," BBC Sport quotes Guthrie as saying.

"We came to within three, but unfortunately it slipped away in the final quarter, but we're really proud of the girls' performance."

Australia finished the 2014 season with a 100% record.
