World champion Casey Stoner has won in Valencia in MotoGP's final race of the season, after starting on pole position.
Stoner led for most of the race, with Yamaha's Ben Spies and Honda teammates Andrea Dovizioso and Dani Pedrosa battling for second.
Rain started to take effect in the final laps, allowing Spies to break ahead of Stoner's teammates and overtake the champion with just two to go. However, the Autralian got a better run out of the final corner and snatched the 0.015-second win.
With Stoner topping the podium once again, Spies took second while Dovizioso came in third. Rookie of the Year Cal Crutchlow finished in fouth, one place ahead of Pedrosa.
