Yamaha boss Lin Jarvis: 'We've not seen best of Bradley Smith'

Yamaha boss Lin Jarvis believes that MotoGP is yet to see the best of British rider Bradley Smith.

Yamaha boss Lin Jarvis is confident that Bradley Smith can "show more" because he is yet to display his full potential in MotoGP.

The Brit, who recently signed a one-year deal, ended last season with five top-six finishes on the Monster Yamaha Tech 3 YZR-M1.

"Have we seen the best of him?" Jarvis told MCN. "I don't think so and I think he can show more. I think he has shown what he can do but he needs to do it on a more regular basis. That's up to him to improve, so we will see if that contract goes on into 2016."

The 24-year-old, who earned his first MotoGP podium finish at the Australian Grand Prix in October, has competed in the premier class world championship for two seasons.
